IMPORTANT!
When purchasing a Bengal kitten, take time to research the breeder. Check TICA’s website to see whether the breeder and cats are actually registered.
Be cautious of backyard breeders. Their kittens may be unhealthy or may not be purebred Bengals. They also may not have the rights to breed that cat so check with TICA. Reputable Bengal kittens often cost $3,000 or more, depending on the kitten’s quality and pedigree. A very low price can be a warning sign.
Be especially careful on social media. Scammers and scammer groups are stealing photos from legitimate breeders, take deposits, and then disappear. I’ve had several clients tell me this happened to them.
There’s a lot of advertising on social media in regard to these cats but a lot of them are actually out of the country so be ready to pay flight delivery on top of the cat price. When you purchase overseas you are also risking the fact that if the cat gets to you sick, you will most likely not receive any refund or a replacement of the cat, they will simply ignore you. Something to keep in mind if you are deciding to purchase from overseas.
Do your homework before you pay a deposit. Verify the breeder and make sure you know who you’re buying from. Many Bengal kittens that are undocumented are not registered and they could be a mix of different breeds, and not purebred. Do your research and verify with TICA.org
What Makes Bengal Cats Unique
Bengals are a standard size, with females typically being on the smaller side. Their coats are incredibly soft, featuring breathtaking patterns that set them apart from any other breed. Their striking appearance paired with their energetic, affectionate nature makes them one-of-a-kind companions.
CATTERY VISITATIONS
Due to the health and safety of our cats and kittens, cattery visitations are by appointment only and are reserved exclusively for serious buyers who have already placed a deposit.
Limiting visitors helps reduce the risk of exposing our kittens and breeding cats to viruses, bacteria, and other contagious illnesses that can be carried into the cattery on clothing, shoes, or after contact with other animals. This policy also helps minimize stress on our cats and allows us to maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for every kitten in our care. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we prioritize the well-being of our animals.
HOW TO PICK UP YOUR BENGAL KITTEN!
When it comes to picking up your kitten, most of our families choose to either drive or fly round trip themselves to the Northwest Florida airport. You can usually find a good deal on Expedia. We would deliver the kitten to the airport. You would need to bring a mesh pet carrier for kitten to go onboard with you. We can also refer you to a trusted flight nanny who has safely transported many of our kittens, or a driver to deliver your kitten right to your home. Please note that their services are an additional cost. You may contact us for more information.

The Bengal kitten “Fuzzy Stage” (Also Called the “Uglies”)
The Bengal kitten fuzzy stage, often called the “uglies,” is a normal part of development. During this phase, kittens grow longer, duller guard hairs that temporarily obscure their spots or marbled patterns. It typically begins around 4 weeks of age and lasts until 14 to 20 weeks, serving as natural camouflage inherited from their wild ancestors. As the adult coat develops, the fuzz disappears, revealing the Bengal’s beautiful, crisp markings and vibrant coat.
Developed in the 1970s, Bengals were created by crossing domestic cats with the Asian leopard cat (Prionailurus bengalensis) to achieve a wild look with a domestic temperament.
Recognized by major cat associations like TICA and CFA.
Bengals are highly intelligent, active, and social — not your typical lap cats. They crave engagement.
They’re known for being water lovers — many enjoy playing or even bathing in water.
Strong hunters with high prey drive — toys or interactive play are essential.
They can be vocal, expressing themselves through chirps, trills, and chatty meows.
Adult Bengals can reach a weight of 7-12 pounds, with females being smaller.
Both Male and Female Cats will Spray when they are not fixed. Female Bengals can go into heat as early as 5 months.
Kittens are Considered kittens until One year of Age!
Bengals will typically eat Dry food or can food.
Bengals Are not hypoallergenic cats! There’s a misconception about this, but some people can still react, and some don’t.
Their coat features spots, rosettes, and marbling, giving them an exotic, jungle cat appearance. In fact, the Bengal is the only domestic cat breed with rosette markings.
Please keep in mind that when you see photos of our young kittens (as shown below), it does not mean they are ready to leave yet. We typically post photos when kittens are around 4 to 5 weeks old, which is when families may begin reserving their kitten and placing a deposit. However, kittens are usually ready to go to their new homes at 10 to 12 weeks of age, depending on their individual development. This timeframe is essential for their first Wellness Exam with a Veterinarian, first vaccinations, as well as growth, and overall well-being.
